Hi I'm David

I am a Mormon, I live in the UK

About Me

Im David, a 29 year old run of the mill family man living in the UK. I have a wonderful wife, a 4 and 2 year old daughter and a son on the way. I work as a client relationship manager for a marketing agency, but plan on starting my own business very soon. I have many interests outside of work; mainly those that take me outdoors. Fishing has been part of my life of over 20 years and when I'm not outdoors, I can be found in the gym power lifting. I enjoy spending time with close friends both in and outside of the church. My family means everything to me and I love nothing more than taking my girls fishing and spending time with them, whether it's colouring pictures or playing pirates I am also studying part time towards a masters degree in business.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a life long member of the Mormon church. Despite this I have aquired my own personal testimony of the teachings of the Church through reading the Book of Mormon, praying and fasting about it to know that it is true. My testimony is my rock and is centred around Jesus Christ as my savour and redeemer, and His gospel which has been restored to the earth through the prophet Joseph Smith. The Book of Mormon serves as evidence of this restoration of Christ's true Church. The teachings of the Church have given me great strength to cope with the rough times and has brought me great peace and comfort. The Book of Mormon helps me to strengthen my testimony and is evidence that God has restored the fullness of the gospel of Jesus Christ in these latter days and once again called prophets to guide us and teach us. I also believe that God has a chosen prophet on the earth today. This is very important to know God's prophet speaks to us in modern times.. This guidance has proved invaluable to me and has acted like a compass in my life. Importantly I have a Father In Heaven who loves and knows me. What a blessing it is to be part of a Church that teaches this truth.

How I live my faith

The simplist way of expressing my faith and testimony in Jesus Christ is by living His teachings and following His example. I have the opportunity to serve others in the Church through my 'calling' or 'assignment'. Within my congregation I get to work with the full time missionaries of the Church. I act as a bridge between them and the congregation to assist them in their remit to bring souls unto Christ. This entails teaching, supporting, and setting an example to others. My calling is a blessing to me as it allows me to be more involved in assisting others in finding Christ.
