Hi I'm Jonathan

I grew up in Southern California. I am studying to be a Registered Nurse. I love being active. I am a father. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a full-time college student studying Nursing, I'm also a full-time employee at the local hospital. I work as a Patient Care Technician (Nurses Assistant) on a Adult Oncology floor. I have been married for 1 1/2 years and have just been blessed with a new baby girl, born on Halloween night. I love doing manly things with friends; playing paintball, going to the local shooting range, camping, rock climbing, kayaking, you name it!

Why I am a Mormon

I have been attending this church since birth, but just like the next person in line I needed my own answer on wither this church was the Lords church or not. After gaining my Eagle Scout Award in the Boy Scouts of America, I turned my attention to my spiritual well being. I read the scriptures (the Bible and the Book of Mormon), I prayed every night for an answer. One day during my senior year of high school some fellow class mates were talking about God and church. One turned to me and asked if I believed in God, I responded "Yes, I am a Christian." They asked as to what church I belonged to, I informed them that it was The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. They asked what that was, I said "Its also known as the Mormons." They told me that they didn't know that was a Christian church, I then bore my testimony that we ARE Christians, that we hold the Saviors name as the pinnacle of our faith as well as the focus of the name of the church. We believe in God, that he is our Father in Heaven and we are His children. We believe Christ died for us, that through the Atonement, we may be forgiven of our sins and be made clean. And that we believe that this church is the one true faith on the face of the earth. It was at this moment that I knew this was true. After graduation, I served a Mission for my church to Philadelphia, PA for two years and have kept strong my faith and belief of this truth.

How I live my faith

I serve in the church as a assistant to the leader of all the men ages 18 and up. I supervise over home teaching in the ward, which is a program to reach out to every member of the ward and be there for them at all times for there physical and spiritual welfare.
