Hi I'm Steve

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I live in southeastern United States and work in the food services industry. I have been married to eternal companion for over 35 years and together we raised five wonderful sons. The highlight of our life is to celebrate our family successes and spend quality time with our nine grandchildren. I love Church, sports, science fiction, reading books and find great satisfaction in working and serving others.

Why I am a Mormon

My earliest recollection of religion was attending Methodist Sunday School with my mother's family. Since that time, I knew there was much more to the Gospel and finally found answers in the Church of Jesus Christ of latter Day Saints. My fondest memory was the day my family was united in the Temple as an eternal unit. I knew that day dressed in white along side my family that the Gospel of Jesus Christ was true and families were eternal. Since that day the church has served as the foundation in my life for my daily decisions, direction and the way I treat others. I love my association with others in the Church who share these eternal truths and relish the thought of sharing Jesus Christ's message with others seeking to really know Him.

How I live my faith

Although I'm far from perfect, I always try to conduct my life in harmony with my elder brother Jesus Christ by following his example. I have had many church callings, some very difficult and challenging. However, with great faith and my Father in Heaven's help each has calling has strengthened me to cope with life's daily challenges. Being a member of the Church provides me with an eternal perspective that the world does not offer. Having this eternal view allows us to see what's really important and make better decisions. Being a father and Priesthood holder has helped my family witness many of God's miracles and we have experienced great success despite the tough and challenging times we face in today's world. At this stage, I can't imagine my life without this devine intervention and treasure being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints.

What is the Mormon lifestyle like? How do Mormons live?

Steve
One of the greatest reasons for being here on earth is to "have joy" (2 Nephi 2:25). Personal prayer, scripture study, and attending church helps us better understand that the best way to find joy and happiness in this life is to know about Our Heavenly Father's plan of happiness, the gospel of Jesus Christ, and to strive to keep God's "law" (Proverbs 29:18). Families are an essential part of God's Plan and much of how we live focuses on our families. We want to share the happiness we enjoy with everyone we can through service, missionary work, and contributing to society. Can't imagine life on earth any other way! Show more Show less
