Hi I'm Todd

I'm a Petroleum Engineer. I teach hunter education and NRA rifle, pistol, and shotgun classes. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love the outdoors. I hike, camp, hunt, snow ski and love exploring. I also play volleyball and enjoy sports. I have worked a lot with Boy Scouts and enjoy seeing youth begin to 'get it', realize what life is all about and find their own identity and destiny. I also love studying the scriptures and discussing the Gospel. Skiing off the top of a high mountain or winning a volleyball match on the last point are a thrill. But nothing compares to the thrill of being taught by the spirit. When you know you are communicating spirit to spirit with diety, there is no greater joy or feeling of exhilaration!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised as LDS but the time came in my life when I had to know for myself if the Book of Mormon was true and if Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. I studied and prayed and discussed religion with many other faiths. I have family members of most of the protestant faiths and I have love and respect for them. I let them tell me about their faith. As I read the Book of Mormon, I got the overwhelming spiritual confirmation that it is indeed the word of God. I also got the confirmation that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God and that the current prophet, Spencer Kimball at that time, was also called to be a prophet of God. I have continued to study and consider all the other arguments. I continually get the confirmation from the spirit that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the church of Jesus Christ and the doctrine we teach is true.

How I live my faith

Simply. I teach a basic doctrine class on Sunday for the people that are new to the Church or are investigating it. I work with the youth, mainly the Boy Scouts. I play with my grand children and try to reinforce the things they are learning at home and in church.
