Hi I'm Jim Olsen

I grew up in Mt. Pleasant, Utah and serve in the Spencer Branch, in Spencer, Iowa

About Me

I'm a middle aged men living in Estehrville, IA. I have been married to my bride going on 29 years. I have 4 sons who I think the world of and 2 daughter-in-laws, who are the best. I love my family, watching and playing sports, spending time at the cabin with family and working.

Why I am a Mormon

I was borned into the church and have been a member my whole life. My parents always took me to church and I have enjoyed being a member. AS the years go by my testimaony of the gospel of Jesus Christ continues to grow and I know that the gospel is the way back to live with my Heavenly Father and my Savior. I know that the Church of Jesus Chrsit of Latter Day Saint's is our saviors church on this earth and we must follow his teaching and do all that is asked of us. I know that there are several ordanaces each person needs to have performed while on this earth to be able to return to live with our Heavenly Father and of Savior, Jesus Christ. I'm so thankful to be a member and to be able to serve. It would be my wish that everyone who has questions or concerns would seach the Mormon.org website to find the truth about the church. I know that everyone can and will be touched by the spirit if they are willing to find the truth. Everyone is converted by the Holy Ghost and not by man. I bear my witness of this goepel. It is true. I love my Heavenly Father and my savior Jesus Christ. I'm so thankful for his atoning sacrifice. That through him I can become clean and return and live with them. I look forward in serving in the church and helping those who wish to know about the gospel.

How I live my faith

I attend the Spencer Branch in Spencer, Iowa. I currently serve as the Branch President. I have served in many callings, such as Youth leader, Scout master and adult leader. I try to instill in my sons the goepsel of Jesus Christ and hope that they will gain a stronger testimony of the church. Three of my sons have serve a full time mission and have spread the gospel to those who have not heard of it. My last son is still to young to serve a mission, but is planning on going. I hope my service in the church will help my son teach their children the importance of serving in the church and in our community. I love the Book of Mormon and for the messages that I receive from reading this book. I'm also on the school's sports booster club, which help our local High School athletic programs purchase uniforms and equipment..
