Hi I'm Jeri

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a widow, a retired Hospice nurse, mother of 2 sons and I live in Utah and California. I love the theater, music and I love to travel. I realized a lifelong dream when I traveled to the Holy Land last May.

Why I am a Mormon

My grandparents were Pentecostal ministers and that was the church I was raised in. When I married and had children, I searched diligently for a church to attend. I attended every church in my area but to no avail. Finally, one Sunday I came home in tears. I went to my bedroom, closed the door and got down on my knees. I asked Heavenly Father to help me. I told Him I didn't know what church to go to and He was going to have to help me. Through my tears I asked Him, "What church should I go to?" Within the week I met a lady who shared the Gospel with me.

How I live my faith

My dream was to serve a mission for my Church with my husband. Unfortunately, this was not to be. My husband died in 2008 and the following year I asked my Bishop if I might fill out the appropriate paperwork so I could go on a mission. I was called to the San Bernardino Mission in California where I served as Mission nurse to 200 plus young missionaries. Next I served in Utah at the Family History Library where I assisted patrons in finding their ancestors-free of charge, of course!!

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

Jeri
I was asked to read the Book of Mormon and then pray and ask Heavenly Father if it was true or not. I read, I prayed, I asked and the Holy Spirit testified to me these things are true, This is my testimony, I know the Church is true, and I encourage you to READ, PRAY and ASK. Show more Show less
