Hi I'm Jordan

Arabic, Middle Eastern Studies, and Italy. I love traveling, being outdoors, and spending time with loved ones. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in San Francisco but have since lived in four different states and countries. Currently, I am a senior in college double majoring in Middle Eastern studies and Arabic. Although I am unsure of my post-graduate plans, I hope to help others through what I have learned about myself and the world around me.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was five years old the Mormon missionaries knocked on my door. My mom, who had had previous experience with church members, let them in. The missionaries began teaching my parents about the Gospel. Later, they were baptized. Despite being extremely young when the missionaries came, I can still remember the spirit they brought into our home. Since then the Church has continued to be a huge part of my life and I cannot imagine where I would be without it today. I am a Mormon because I have seen and felt the Gospel's impact in my life. Although my parents converted when I was very young, I have had plenty of opportunities to become personally converted and discover what the church means to me. I love this Gospel and being Mormon allows me to grow and change into the kind of person I have always wanted to be. These reasons and more influence why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by continually remaining active in the church and implementing Gospel principles into my every day life. I do this by carrying out church callings and attending church meetings and activities. Additionally, I strive to embody Christ-like attributes in my interactions with others. I believe we are all children of God, regardless of age, gender, geographic location, socioeconomic status, or religious beliefs. This attitude has helped me get to know myself and the world around me better. I also believe that living our faith means cultivating our talents and pursuing our dreams. We are all very unique individuals and have a lot to contribute. The Gospel permeates every aspect of my life and greatly influences my character. It has played a huge part in inspiring me to be the best individual I can be while creating meaningful relationships and experiences along the way. Although I am far from perfect, I try to put my family and friends first. Every single person I have ever met has positively impacted my life and taught me lessons I needed to learn, albeit not always easy. I honestly love my life, and despite its natural challenges, I wouldn't change a single thing. Living the Gospel very much contributes to this perspective and my overall happiness.
