Hi I'm Amie

I grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah. I now live in Michigan. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of four wonderful adults. Two of my kids are married and have almost 3 children each. My family lives from the East to the West Coast. Much of my life was spent in Social Work helping high-risk teens. I now work in customer service with the airline industry. The best perk is that I can travel as much as I like to visit the grandkids. My husband and I live in Michigan.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the faith. Even though I was raised in the Church, I had to gain my own testimony of the gospel. This happened when I was about seventeen. My faith continues to grow to this day. I know that my Savior is Jesus Christ. I am a Christian! I try to live my convictions every day. I believe that through Christ, my Redeemer, I will be saved from my sins as I strive to live the commandments of God. I must 'keep my faith' and 'repent' continually. I read the Bible and feel a great comfort understanding Christ, his life and ministry on this earth. I also read the companion book; The Book of Mormon which is another testament of the birth, life and teachings of Jesus Christ. The Gospel of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints just makes sense. It is Christ's complete gospel here on this earth. That is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I currently play the organ for church services. I also have the opportunity to teach the women's organization a lesson once a month. I have friends in my branch that I am asked to visit often to make sure that they are cared for. When I lived in Utah I have spent about 15 years teaching teenage girls gospel principles. Finally I worked for about 15 years teaching music to the children from 3 to 12-years-old. I love music and teaching. I am glad that I have the chance to serve the Lord with the talents he has given me.
