Hi I'm Cory

I grew up in a military family. I'm a father of 1 son and 4 daughters. I'm also a grandfather to 1 so far. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a 52 years old father of 5, 1 boy and 4 girls, 1 set of twins. My oldest 3 are married. I have 1 grandchild. I enjoy wood working, snow skiing, golf and I like to Kayak on a local river with my wife and twin girls. I have been a airplane pilot since the early 80's and consider myself lucky to do for a living what so many dream of.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised as a Mormon but I had my own conversion. As a young person, I had many strong spiritual experiences. After scripture study in both the Bible and the Book of Mormon the truth and fullness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ was confirmed to me by the power of the Holy Ghost. I tested the promise in Moroni and found out for myself that it was it was true. I serve a mission for the Mormon Church in North Carolina from 1977-1979. I'm so grateful for the Saviors willingness to serve us and be our redeemer. I know the church is true and that having that knowledge is a great responsibility. We, as Mormon's have the answers to life's tests and anybody can have them if they will open their hearts to the spirit and read and pray about what the missionaries teach them.

How I live my faith

My faith is my way of life. My wife and I currently teach early morning seminary. This is a course of study taught each school day to all local congregation high school kids. The classes start at 6am and these teenagers come to seminary willingly for about 45 minutes each day. These teenage kids are miracles to do this every day at that hour all 4 years of high school. This year we are studying the Old Testament.
