Hi I'm Lynn Gurney

I grew up in Idaho. I'm a prosthodontic resident and I'm a mormon.

About Me

I've been married for about 9 years. My wife and I have four wonderfully normal kids. Three boys and one girl, their ages are 7, 5, 2 and 4 months. My life is incredibly busy right now while I'm trying to complete my education. Currently, I'm an Advanced Prosthodontic Resident at OSU in the field of dentistry. I usually leave home at about 5:30 AM and don't get home sometimes until 6 or 7 PM. We try to make the best of the time we have together by playing games, drawing pictures, reading books, going to the dollar movie, looking at toys at the store, and mostly just trying to have fun.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a home in which my both my parents were and still are Mormon. I never thought too much about it growing up. I liked who I was and what I learned from attending church. There came a time in my adolescent years that I felt like I needed to know for myself if being Mormon was the right thing for me to continue. The Mormon leaders have always councelled, since I can remember, everyone needs to pray and ask God if what they learn at church is true. So, I did and I felt as though and continue to feel today that the church is God's church and I'm doing the right thing by continue to follow it's teachings. I have learned that as I learn to listen and follow the teachings in the scriptures and from our modern day prophets my life is blessed more than I could imagine.

How I live my faith

I strive to put God first in everything I do. If I council with him in all that I do I find extra ability to work toward any goals that I may have. I always go to church. I strive to serve by best in any capacity I'm asked to do so. My family and I strive to hold daily family prayer, weekly family home evening, and regular family scripture study.
