Hi I'm Mike

I love to play dodgeball, shoot 3-pointers like Jimmer, work for a college football team, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I attend college where I study Statistics and work as an Assistant to the Director of Football Operations. Me and about 10-15 friends get together to play dodgeball every week and have created our own team called Team Sparta. My nickname I carry on the team is The Fury. Other nicknames I have had throughout the years are Vanilla Thrilla, Siamese Shocka, Miggie, and the Stormin Mormon. You can usually hear me quoting hilarious movies and see me putting bacon ranch dressing on all my foods. Also I enjoy listening to Taylor Swift and eating cookie dough for fun.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I know that I have found complete happiness through living the lessons and doctrines taught through this church. I have seen people's lives change and seen a light inside come on as they have come closer to our Savior Jesus Christ. I have found that as I prayed and read the Bible and The Book of Mormon that I have developed a personal relationship with my Heavenly Father. The greatest knowledge I could share with someone is this church.

How I live my faith

I attend a congregation that meets here at BYU. I participate in organizing activities and making sure everyone is involved and feels welcome. I served a 2 year mission in Philadelphia from Jan 2008 through Jan 2010 where I gave 2 years of my life as service to the Lord and to others. This is where I gained knowledge of what God has for me. I help and look over others in the congregation and make sure their needs are met and they are doing well both physically and spiritually. Always my goal is to come a little closer to Jesus Christ.
