Hi I'm Carol Ann

II'm a Mormon. I knew this was the church for me way back in 1955 but was just baptized in December 2008. Here's why....

About Me

I am a senior citizen, retired due to some health problems. I'm the mother of grown children, a grandmother and great grandma too.None of my children live close to me though we do e-mail and land line. I wasted many of my adult years looking for love in all the wrong places, moving from place to place and job to job I was a cook, waitress, bartender and property manager over the years. Married too many of the wrong kind of men and was even separated from my children for a few years in their school years. I first attended the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints when I was 12 years old. I learned enough about the church over the next few years that I was proud to introduce my sister to it. She loved the church and stayed with it. She also led my younger brother and my mother to join. I fell away but never forgot what I had learned. It would be nearly 50 years before I allowed the church back into my life.

Why I am a Mormon

Even though I never joined the church the first opportunity that I had, I always knew the church was true. I love that I have the knowledge now that my family, even though it is not complete here on Earth, can be whole once more in the next life. I also love seeing the families every sunday at church that love to be around each other and spend time with one another. It took me long time to realize the quality of friends that your own families provide, but I realize it now and it means so much to me.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being the best person I can be. I try to share the knowledge that I have of Christ with all that I meet. I believe that a good example has a stronger effect on people than anything else. Our testimonies come from God and are given to us individually to share with those we meet, so I do it through bold acts of service, love, and friendship.
