Hi I'm Lori G.

I live in north Georgia with my wonderful family. We live near Lake Lanier and enjoy camping and waters sports.

About Me

I'm a working mother of two school age sons. My life is pretty busy and can be very hectic at times. I enjoy being outdoors in my yard gardening and we enjoy water activities since we live near a large lake. I enjoy nature walks, hikes, and picnics.

Why I am a Mormon

I love having the same spiritual goals as my husband. We enjoy worshipping together as a family and know that living Gospel Principles helps to strengthen our relationships. As a mother, I know it is vital to my sons to have a strong spiritual foundation. Times are very different from when my husband and I were growing up and the LDS church is a huge support system for our family with it's programs to foster character building and leadership qualities in my sons. We want to be together forever and living the gospel teaches us how we can.

How I live my faith

I attend church regularly and a large portion of my life revolves around my faith. I visit other women in my church periodically to give service, support, and encouragement where needed. This in turn strengthens my faith and helps to build my testimony of Jesus Christ.

What is done with the tithing that Mormons pay?

Lori G.
All tithing funds are sent in to Salt Lake City Church Headquarters and are then used to further the spreading of the gospel worldwide. Show more Show less

How can we come to know our Father in Heaven?

Lori G.
By learning to communicate with Him through prayer and learning how to receive answers. Also by learning to recognize how the Holy Ghost feels when we are given answers. Show more Show less

Why do you have 12 Apostles? They were just meant to be around for the time of Jesus Christ, not to be replaced with new apostles.

Lori G.
When Jesus Christ was on the earth, He established His church and called twelve diciples to follow Him in His ministry. The Mormon church is Jesus Christ's church restored in the latter days and so is patterned after the original church Jesus established. Show more Show less
