Hi I'm Bret

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I live in Utah. I have lived here my whole life. I was born to a loving mother and father. They were also native to Utah. I grew up as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I served a mission to the Canada Calgary Mission. I returned home from my mission and attended college were I met and married my best friend. I graduated from the school of engineering, with two 2 year degrees in engineering graphics and mechanical engineering. I graduated with a 4 year degree in manufacturing engineerinig. My wife and I have 5 children. For relaxation I like to fix up old cars. Mostly, I collect old rusty things that used to be cars or trucks and dream about how to fix them up. I have a very loving wife who has let me bring home all kinds of junk and never complained.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the LDS faith. My parents, Grandparent and the majority of everyone I knew when I was growing up were LDS. I learned that the principles that the church are truly what can lead to happiness in this life. I have had my questions and have had my testimony challenged, but I have always been led back to what I learned as a small child. I am I child of God. Jesus Christ loved me enough to take upon himself my transgressions and the only true way to happiness and joy is by following Christ's teachings; by loving God and loving others. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints has taught me these things and continues to help me be a better person.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being a contributing member of the community. I take care of my family. I participate in church activities. I am a firm believer in the church's programs for the youth. I have worked with the young men in my area by being a Scout and Cub Scout leader. I also provide service to my neighbor as it is required. I try to be a true friend to everyone I meet, regardless of their race, beliefs or anything else. Like me, everyone is a child of God and deserves to be treated as one.
