Hi I'm Dan

I grew up in Denmark. I serve as a missionary. I'm a mormon.

About Me

Duing my early years we had quite a challenge in Our home. After Our father passed away because of cancer, Our mother was left behind with four children, one of them only half a year. She decided to take care of everything herself and it's something that i absolutely admire. Because of that, she taught me the greatest lesson I could ever get: Never give up. No matter what happens around you, it's when you give up that you have lost and it has become a part of my lifestyle. If it's worth chasing after, I'll do it and it has brought me through many incredibly interesting things and it had given me experiences i could not get without going steadily forward. I like jazz and rock, and I have played in a band once. I also enjoy playing football and running. My goal is to become a school teacher. Since I was little I have always studied science magazines and encyclopedias (some would say in a really nerdy way) and I like to share it with as many as possible and there's nothing more satisfying than looking at people who ponder on new-inherited knowledge

Why I am a Mormon

My father died when I was really young and after his death I fell down in a black hole in 10 years with alife without meaning or care. My brother who is a member knew that something must be done and sent the missionaries. Surprised by their appearance I invited them in and we talked about the restoration, which i had no idea of. I had a good talk with them and talked with them after but it didn't hang on me. But suddenly at my father's death day i got drawn in a mist of light. I couldn't recognize the place though it seemed familiar. In front of me stood a shadow meters away and when it came closer i could recognize who it was. His eyes were like lightning blue saphires, wearing pure white robes and a peaceful face, striking right to the heartwith such warmth. It didn't describe anything I have ever heard of. I asked my father how he was at the other side and he declared that he was fine. In tears i held him and wished for him to stay and then i came backto myself. I was laying inmy bed and a hand was resting on my shoulder and a shadow beside me faded away, and i thought "what just happened"? I talked with certain churches to get an answer but nothing was satisfying, what they described wasn't what i saw. When the missionaries came back i asked them the same question as i asked the others. They smiled and asked me to read certain passages. At that moment i got filled by the holy ghost and i knew in an instant that what they said was true, and that they were sent from God.

How I live my faith

I have been serving in the church in my hometown as a sunday school teacher and as a counselor for the presiding elder there, and right now i'm serving in the scottish/irish mission.

Are Mormons Christians?

We believe that Jesus christ suffered for our sake, resurrected and that he will come again. The name of our church is also "The church of Jesus christ of latter day saints" and The Book of Mormon also witness of Him, just like the Bible Show more Show less
