Hi I'm Sam

It's cool to be a Mormon.

About Me

I am attending our local community college and plan to transfer to a higher university looking for an engineering degree. I love sports. I'm pretty much the one my friends go to when they have a question about any sport. I also love to go to the movies and play games with my family and friends. I served a mission for the LDS church in Indiana.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because it feels good. Growing up in the church, my parents always encouraged us to learn and find out for ourselves if it was true. At about twenty, I felt a deep obligation to serve a mission for the church. After listening to the words of the First Presidency in the October 2008 Priesthood Session of General Conference, I knew then that a mission is exactly what I needed to do. So I continued to prepare and served the wonderful people in Indiana. Through my experiences there, both with members of the church and those not of our faith, I came to the knowledge that Jesus Christ is my Savior and that this is His church.

How I live my faith

In the church, we reserve Monday evenings for families to join together to bond and become more united. Young adults between 18 and 30 come together to strengthen one another this time. In my local congregation, I am the one who decides which activities occur and how the Spirit can be brought more fully into everyone's week. Along with that, I visit five individuals in the ward as a home teacher to strengthen and encourage them to live their faith.
