Hi I'm Rob

I'm an Air Traffic Controller in the tower at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport (ATL). I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love aviation and everything related to it. I have a Bachelor's Degree from Middle Tennessee State University where I majored in Aerospace Administration with a minor in Computer Information Services. I have a beautiful wife and four sons, ages 12, 19, 21, and 23. My 19-yr old son is currently on a mission in the California Anehiem Mission, and will return after two years of service in March of 2015.. My family and I love cruising, SCUBA, and all things beach related. We love the outdoors and have traveled around most of this beautiful country.

Why I am a Mormon

Only in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints can the "fullness" of Christ's teachings be found. In our church, there is peace about the life that follows this one. I enjoy the knowledge that the teachings of Eternal families bring. I could not imagine a "heaven" where I could not be with my family, as a family. It only makes sense that the relationships that we build here on this earth continue to grow and develop after this life. I am thankful for the sacrifice that my older brother, Jesus Christ, made for each of us. It is only through His Atonement that we can be cleansed from our sins and made worthy to enter His presence and the presence of our Father in Heaven. I am grateful to Joseph Smith for his part in restoring the Gospel of Jesus Christ back to the earth. This includes the restoration of the Priesthood and the translation of The Book of Mormon: Another Testament of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

Like my son who is currently serving the Lord, I was able to serve a mission when I was 19. I was assigned to the Texas San Antonio Mission. I enjoyed the service that I was able to provide. Many of our responsibilities involved community service, proselyting, and answering questions that people had about our faith. I love volunteering in the community and helping those that have struggles in this life overcome obstacles. I most recently helped the "Mormon Helping Hands" clear damaged trees from around their homes after devastating tornadoes hit our area. I love the feelings that this service brings me and my family after helping others. I try to set an example to my friends and family of what the Savior would have me do. Although I fall short sometimes, I am thankful for repentance and the peace that it brings to my life. I currently work with the young men (12yrs-18yrs) in our Church. I serve as the Troop Committee Chairman for our Boy Scout Troop. I enjoy working with the youth. They are the lifeblood of the Church and of our nation as a whole.

How do I become a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon Church)?
