Hi I'm Bethany

I have traveled to 13 countries. I speak 3 languages. I am a doctor. I am a wife and mother. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am from Washington. I have had many opportunities in my life. I went to college and graduate school; I love to travel, and thus far have visited 13 countries, learned new languages and experienced new cultures. My biggest accomplishment, however, has been my family. I am married with two beautiful children. I also am the breadwinner in our family while my husband stays home and raises our children. (He is an amazing father and husband). It is not the typical setup, but it is what works for us. We are loving our life and experiences together.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the Church, but I was in college when I had my own experience with discovering the verity of the gospel. I read the Book of Mormon from cover to cover and then tested the promise that the prophet, Mormon, gives to all. To pray and ask Heavenly Father if it is true. I knew at that point in my life that I if I were to continue to believe, I had to know for myself, truly. Well, I received an answer to my prayers and the knowledge of the truth of this message entered my heart and will never be forgotten. It was at that time that my life changed. I knew that this was true, and I wanted to make sure others had the chance to find out for themselves as well. What a blessing in my life to KNOW the truth and have purpose in my life. I no longer wander around wondering why I'm here or where did I come from. All of this can be knowledge that ANYONE can receive.

How I live my faith

I have had many opportunities to serve in my ward. I served a mission for my church for 18 months in Africa. When I returned, I was called as a teacher to many different groups: the women of our church, those who are visiting or new members and learning the foundations of the gospel, and now the children in our primary program. I also have the responsibility to teach my own children in our home.
