Hi I'm Kim

I'm a mom, USAF veteran and a Mormon.

About Me

I am a stay at home mom to three wonderful children living in San Antonio, TX. I served 12 years in the United States Air Force and lived in CA, England, LA, and SD; I am originally from MD. I enjoy crafting, photography and spending time with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I didn't grow up in any church denomination environment and I didn't know if there even was a God. My husband grew up Southern Baptist though he hadn't been to church for many years. We decided that we wanted to go to a church and bring our children up in an environment that supported moral standards. After trying different churches the LDS church came into our path. I was a little scared because of the stereotype but after we really started educating ourselves we knew it was where we were supposed to be. I thought we were a happy family before; I had no clue how much more happier our lives could be. I know where we came from before this earth and I know that we can be together as a family after this time on earth. I know that there is a God and I am comforted by the gift of the Holy Ghost that guides me daily.

How I live my faith

I am the Secretary of our Relief Society which a woman's auxillary within our church. I also do my visiting teaching monthly with my companion. Visiting Teaching is where you are paired up with another lady and you are assigned a few other woman that you visit with every month. This is a way for our church to help love and support one another as well as a chance to fellowship. Visiting teaching has helped me create lasting bonds with woman that I might have otherwise never have gotten to know. We discuss the gospel (a miniature scripture study for lack of better words) and help where needed (sickness, pregnancy, new baby, death, etc).
