Hi I'm Ryan

I'm a Dad. I'm a husband. I'm an athlete, I play video games for fun, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

First and most important, I am a Dad who adores his four kids and a husband that is wrapped around my beautiful wife's finger. I met her when I was a sophomore in high school, dated her through my teenage years, and married this wonderful woman after serving a two year Mormon mission. I also love everything related to technology. In fact, I'm a true geek! I have spent my life playing with technology and consider myself lucky to work with a team of dedicated technology professionals in my career. I also love most forms of athletics. I have completed a full marathon, several half marathons, and love the occasional game of basketball.

Why I am a Mormon

I have found joy in the gospel of Jesus Christ. This life is not just meant to be endured, but embraced. I know what my purpose in life is. I know why I am here, who I am, and where I am going when this mortal life comes to an end. I know my family is forever and I can enjoy the relationships I build here for all eternity. I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior and took upon himself all sin and sorrow. He died for me and was resurected, which enabled all mankind to partake of the same. Christ's church is all about strengthening the individual and the family. In a world where morals are fading, the anchor the gospel provides for me and my family is priceless. I know all this because I have knelt in prayer and ask God, who is my Father in Heaven. He answered my prayers as he will answer all who come before him.

How I live my faith

I love the opportunity I have to lead the missionary efforts in my ward. I get to work with amazing people who love their friends and neighbors, share their testimony freely, and coordinate all our efforts with the full time missionaries. I am also blessed to be a father and husband. I hold the Priesthood of God and it blesses me and others through many acts of service, visits, and actions.

Why is it important for us to take care of our bodies? Why are our bodies called temples of God in the Bible?

Ryan
We only have one physical body in this mortal existence. How we treat it will result in blessings or consequences. If we treat it like a temple, our body can be clean, strong, and a buffer against the storms of life. While tragedy and illness occurs to all, we can defend against them to our fullest by taking care of our bodies. While there are all sorts of drugs of choice in the world, my drug of choice is running. I find peace in the morning hours during a long run, and I enjoy the results of challenging my body to overcome the obstacles a long run can provide. Most of all, I want to be around as long as I can with my wonderful wife and four great kids. Show more Show less
