Hi I'm Tyler J

I grew up all over the world. I love a good adventure, and I love my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a fun loving husband, father, and friend. I am married to a wonderful wife and have one son who you can see in the picture above. I am the oldest of six kids, we lived in 10 homes in five states and two countries! I love my family and I'm so grateful for them in my life. There is no doubt that my family bring me my greatest joy! I enjoy all types of sports but you can find me most often playing golf, tennis, and basketball. I graduated from college a few years ago and I am now in management for an energy savings company. I enjoy life and I'm so grateful for all my blessings!

Why I am a Mormon

I have spent a lot of time discussing why mormonism throughout my life - and the number one reason that continues to come back to me is I feel it's the truth through the confirmation of the Spirit. I invite all to read the Book of Mormon and once you have read the promise in Moroni 103-5, ask for yourself, that is the key. God wants you to find out for yourself, as I have. I can tell you all other types of reasons - the fact that the church teaches of how families can be eternal, how the Priesthood has been restored, and all other types of marvelous revealed truths but at the end of the day I know that I'm the happiest in my life when I follow the teachings of Jesus Christ as taught through his church. I am grateful to be a member of the Chruch of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints!

How I live my faith

I serve in my ward as a President of the men's organization. I try and make sure the families of the ward, and my group of men have all the tools they need to successfully lead their families. We seek to help people temporally and spiritually to receive all the blessings we have been promised as we are faithful unto God. But most importantly I live my faith by leading my family. It is my responsibility as a husband and father to teach my family correct principles and to make sure we are living in a way the Lord would have us live. I know that the greatest responsibility I have in this life is to treat my family well and to love them. I'm grateful for how the church helps me be a better dad and husband!

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Tyler J
I believe that the Lord loves us just as much today as when Moses and prophets of old were on the earth. I know that the Bible is the word of God and that when Christ was on the earth he formed a church that was led by Apostles and Prophets. I believe that for the Lord to return for his Second Coming he prepared the way by restoring the church that existed from his earthly ministry. He called a Prophet and ordained Apostles to lead the church today! I know that there are a lot of great people who believe in God who aren't Mormon, but believing in God is half the battle, you have to receive the ordinances of the gospel - specifically baptism - and to receive a baptism the way Jesus did - by someone with authority like unto John the Baptist. The power to perform a baptism was returned to us today and now we can receive all of the blessings through a Prophet and the Priesthood.  Show more Show less
