Hi I'm Ryan

Grew up in Southern California. I'm a proud family man but a kid at heart. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am finishing up my education at a dental school and am looking forward to entering the work force! I'm just an average dude with an awesome wife and two kids.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that life's greatest truths are found within this religion, which I wholeheartedly believe is headed by God through His prophet. I feel so lucky to have the guidance of the church in my life because without it I would truly be lost. It is because of the church that I know what direction to take through life, what life's purpose actually is and how to best utilize my time here on earth. Every doctrine and teaching of this church makes such perfect sense to me. The principles of the gospel are so basic and uncomplicated I know they are pure. I see a lot of confusion in the world regarding different religions and beliefs, but knowing that God maintains his truths undefiled through one prophet, the leader of the church, helps me know that I will never be confused or persuaded by the beliefs of man.

How I live my faith

There is no aspect of my everyday life that is not affected by my faith. I try to see people as God's children and my brothers and sisters, who have divine potential and an infinite worth in the eyes of God. I try to act as Christ would but often find myself coming up short I know He has made up the difference for me. I try to uplift people and be an example of what is good and holy. Specifically in the church, I am in charge of the Sunday School aspects of our meetings each week. I help the teachers develop their teaching abilities and hopefully help people strengthen their beliefs and testimonies of Jesus Christ.

Why is authority to perform a baptism important?

Baptism is one of the ordinances God has set up for us on this earth to participate in in order to return to His presence. How could God just let any random person who thinks they are worthy perform His ordinances on their own? Show more Show less
