Hi I'm Sam

I grew up in Papua New Guinea, I love food, I play the guitar; I'm pretty well rounded, but most importantly - I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I moved around a bit growing up, I was born in Papua New Guinea and spent a few years there as a child and then moved back again for a couple more years when I was finishing high school. In 2002 I went to New Zealand for 2 years of unpaid voluntary church service as a missionary, which so far has been the most fulfilling experience of my life. I love doing outdoor activities, swimming, climbing, walking, anything really but I'm also a bit of a geek.

Why I am a Mormon

I have read The Bible and The Book of Mormon and have felt something like a light go on inside me as I've studied, I know these warm illuminating feelings have come from God. When I listen to or even read the words of the Prophet and Apostles of this church I feel the same witness from God that what they are saying is true. As I have applied what I have read and heard I have had my prayers answered and have felt closer to God.

How I live my faith

I look for ways to emulate Jesus Christ in my day to day life. I try to go my best in responsibilities I have at church. Loving and serving people around me regardless of if I know them or not makes me feel good.
