Hi I'm Rachel

I taught high school special education. I now stay at home to teach my daughter. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a high school special education teacher with a bachelors degree in history and a masters degree in special education. I recently stopped teaching in order to raise my newborn daughter, which I believe is the most important job. I am married to my best friend and we love watching movies and cooking together. I love history, reading, writing, digital scrapbooking, and shopping.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have prayed about it and God has answered my prayers that this is where I find the truth. My faith answers questions about who I am and why I am here. My religion teaches me to follow God's commandments which makes me a better person by strengthening my marriage, helping me raise my daughter, and bringing me happiness even in difficult times. I was born a Mormon, but I continue to be a Mormon because the things I learn make sense in my mind and feel good in my heart.

How I live my faith

One of my favorite things to do is play the piano while the children sing at church. The songs they sing teach simple truths like I am a child of God, Jesus loves me, and reading the scriptures everyday gives me the power to do what is right. When they sing I can feel God's presence near.
