Hi I'm Michael Springer

I was born & raised in Alabama, moved to Florida, then to Texas where I live today.

About Me

I'm a self employeed Mechanical Contractor specializing in Geothermal HVAC. I have worked in the commercial and industrial HVAC and controls business since 1971. My wife and I were married on Maui, Hawaii in 1989. We have one son, who is attending college. My wife and I met skydiving while we both lived in Tampa Florida. I enjoy snow & water skiing , golf , radio control aircraft building & flying and Sport Clay shooting. I recieved my private pilots license in 1975.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a convert to the LDS faith. We previously worshipped in the Baptist Church. We started a search for another church when ours became too commercial for us. We attended several churchs but didn't find what we were looking for. One day the LDS missionaries came by to pay us a visit at our home and invited us to attend services at the local stack center (church). A short time later one of my customers invited us to attend a Christmas pagent at the same church. We decided to attend and investigate. It is an under statement to say we knew we had found the place we needed to be. Our new church family was loving and helpful from the first time we showed up for services. After 6 months of careful study of the Book of Mormon, the King James Bible and lots of prayer for guidance I was baptized into the King of God.

How I live my faith

I pray and study scriptures daily. We attend church weekly and partake of the Holy Sacrement to renew our faith in Jesus Christ as our Savior. Supporting other members by attending Baptisms makes our church family closer. I have been called as a Ward Misssionary which is a very rewarding experience. I am asked to teach Sunday School classes and speak on various topics during other events. Preparing for a lesson or a talk is always a learning experience for me. When I start researching a topic there is a new discovery waiting to be found and it makes me want to dig deeper and learn more about Jesus and God's plan for his children so I can tell others what I have come across.
