Hi I'm Heidi

I was born and raised in California. I love my family. I strongly dislike sugar. I love art and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother to two beautiful boys. I love to create fun stories and silly games with them. I am a wife to a wonderful husband. I love my family and being with them brings me so much joy! Creating things and appreciating other's art work is like fresh air to my lungs. A few years ago I gave up eating sugar because I figured out it was effecting my mood and energy...This has helped me to be a happier more productive person. I love to study the scriptures!...God's word brings light and hope to my day and my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up a Mormon. My parents taught me good values and to believe in Christ. They taught me to look to him in my time of need. Over the course of my life and through the trials that come I have done so. As a college student, away from family, I felt very alone. I wondered if God could really loved me like I had been taught in my youth. I did not know where else to turn but to the Lord. I studied the Book of Mormon and I studied the Bible with a humble heart eager to know my way. As I studied these books I found something, for some reason, I did not expect to find. I had discovered the reality of my Savior Jesus Christ. He was my King, my Redeemer and my friend. I knew that the Book of Mormon and the Bible were the words of God because in them I had found Him.

How I live my faith

It is very important to me to make sure we read and talk about the scriptures as a family. I want my children to know of their importance and know that within them they can find the answers they are seeking. We spend time as a family every Monday night talking about gospel truths and how to better live them. Together we feel the spirit in our hearts and as a family we feel close to our Savior and Father in heaven. Every Sunday I go to church and it helps me to see and feel the faith of other members. Each Sunday I think about the promises I made to the Lord during baptism as I partake of the sacrament. I think about how I can better stand as Christ's witness and reach out to strengthen those around me. Each day I must pray often and spend quiet time studying Christ's words in the scriptures. Then I must go and do the things that I have learned. I love to attend the temple. There I feel close to heaven. There I can find peace and understanding.
