Hi I'm Angel

I grew up in El Paso. I work with computers. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I find so many people that had really rough childhood, but I can say I had a really happy one. I think that is why most people say I have a positive attitude. I love my work. I am currently a PC/Communications Tech II. I basically work with computers and everything that could possibly keep you in contact this everyone else on our facility. Things change and there is always something new to learn. I enjoy music. I have played the saxophone for many years. Now I fiddle with a guitar and sing. I am far from being good, but I love to learn new things and take on challenges. My new passion is photography. I really like the look on peoples faces when I give them a framed picture of themselves. I like to bring people joy. I guess it is because I feel so much joy myself on a daily basis.

Why I am a Mormon

I never understood why my sins never really had any consequences. It was hard for me to confess my sins and receive such a mundane set of task to repent and receive forgiveness. I felt alone and isolated from everyone and everything good. The momentary pleasure I received by sinning was quickly replaced with sorrow and shame. When I began to learn about the church and was taught about the Atonement of Christ, I could not believe someone would be willing to do this for me. I was taught to pray. I asked God about the sacrifice his some made for me and if I could ever deserve this gift. Once I felt the love God had for me and that there was a true repentance process that required me to leave all sin behind me, I was able to free myself from the chains that bound my spirit. I am not perfect and it is a daily process, but those brief moments of pleasure have been replaced with a true joy that only comes with knowing God lives. I have received may blessing in my life. I know Jesus Crist is my savior and redeemer. I know that Joseph Smith is a Prophet of God and he was called by God to restore the Church of Jesus Christ. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the same organization that Jesus Christ established by he was on the earth. I know and am so grateful for President Thomas S. Monson, who is the living Prophet of God on this earth.

How I live my faith

The joy I feel knowing that God lives and he loved me compels me to serve. I am currently serving as the Scout Master of my ward. I love working with the young men. I see them mature and grow. My reward for helping them achieve there goals is seeing the look on there faces when the make it, when a fear is concord, or a tedious task is completed. I also teach a Sunday School class. I purposely try to involve them in my teaching and avoid lecturing. I know they get more out of the class and because they are already talking they do not hesitate to ask question and get the answers from our group or myself. I love to sing and I think it help invite the spirit into our hearts. I sing in the ward choir along with my whole family. One of high light of my service is visiting the other families of our ward. I am assigned 3 families and it is my responsibility to look in on them and make sure everything is OK. Once a month I take a special message to them. When the members of our church need help moving or home repair I love to volunteer. I get great satisfaction from helping others. I have helped move many people, delivered meals for the elderly, and repaired air conditioner for several families.
