Hi I'm Clark Madsen

I'm a medical student. I'm a researcher. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am in my fourth year of medical school training to become a doctor. I enjoy learning about the human body and its amazing capabilities. I also enjoy the opportunity it gives me to speak to and learn about other people. I always find out something interesting and new from each patient I interview. I am also learning to be a clinical researcher and am involved in projects in Orthopedics and Sports Medicine. Before medical school I studied Bio-medical Engineering. When not seeing patients or doing research I like to spend time with my wife and son. We like to walk on trails in the the nearby forests. I also like having friends over for parties. My hobbies include snow skiing, tennis, racquetball, woodworking, and image design.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the values and ideals it has given me have helped me find a constant peace in my life. Having a perspective of where I came from, why I am here, and where I am going after this life lets me look beyond the smaller obstacles I face on a day to day basis. Also, learning the principles of the gospel through the Bible, the Book of Mormon, and the living prophets has helped me to develop a strong relationship with people around me. It allows me to see everyone as a child of God and someone deserving of the utmost respect. This is most true with my relationship with my wife. The teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has been a cornerstone in our marriage and helps us grow closer together.

How I live my faith

I love just being around diverse people and hearing their stories. I have found myself travelling on medical missions, community health fairs, and community clean-up projects. For the last several years I have been in charge of the Cub Scout organization at our church. I help teach the 8-11 year old boys life principles and skills. We also have a lot of fun playing around as well.

What do Mormons believe about the nature of God?

Clark Madsen
We believe that God is like us, or in other words we are like God since we were created in is image. Now God is superior in that he is immortal, perfected, merciful with a perfect understanding of all things. However I believe that we can see a spark of our Divine Father in each of his human children. Show more Show less
