Hi I'm Melinda

I'm married to a great guy, and a mom to four busy kids. I love to meet people. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a stay-at-home mom to four fantastic kids, and wife to a wonderful guy I love very much. We enjoy spending time together as a family -- a great weekend involves a delicious meal, a movie, and board games. I love to read, try new recipes, and make a comfortable house. I taught high school English for nine years, but am on hiatus while I raise my family. I have wonderful friends, and have been in the same book group for 18 years.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family with strong Mormon traditions. I have many ancestors who gave up homes, friends and many of their possessions to convert and follow their new faith to the American West. I honor their sacrifices by staying close to the Gospel. I choose this faith and this life every day because I find truth and peace as I draw closer to my Savior.

How I live my faith

It is rewarding to work and worship with the great people in our ward family. I enjoy organizing Sunday meetings for the women in our congregation, and helping to plan other activities that will enrich their lives. My fondest "church" memories are of times spent working and serving together.

What is the Relief Society?

Relief Society is an organization for Mormon women. We meet every Sunday, and on a week-day about once a month. On Sundays, we study the Gospel, the Savior and his Gospel plan for our lives. For our week-day meetings we learn ways to better ourselves, help our families or provide meaningful service . Relief Society and the friendships I have made with women of varying backgrounds and life experience has enriched my life. Show more Show less
