Hi I'm Sam

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy people, love to talk and my work gets me envolved with people of all types. I really enjoy my family. Our children are grown and have families but live with in a 10 mile radius of my Wife and I. We have Grandchildren from less than 3 years old to 23 and in the service of our Country. My Wife and I have been married for almost 47 years. We have had good times, hard times but we handled them togather. I am 71 years old and my wife is 69. We both still work but make time for our children and grand children. We feel blessd to have them living so close.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in another Christian Fath and was active in my church until later in my life, became inactive because I had many questions no one seemed to be able to answer or gave me an answer that didn't fit. My Wife's best friend is a Mormon and introduced her and I to the Mormon missionaries. My Wife became a Mormon after about a year of lessions. I joined a little over a year later and it may be because I really enjoyed having the missionaries visit us and discuss the Bible, the Book of Mormon and Gods plans for us. Most all the questions I had were addressed. Much of what I felt or believed within my own mind seemed to come to light in the teachings we received. My Wife and I are now active in the Church and learning more every day.

How I live my faith

I, like everyone else, am not perfect and have my shortcomings but I do try and am getting better at it. I am active in the Church, I have taught some classes (I think I learn more than the class when I teach). I have a calling in the administration of the Church. Most of all I enjoy the company of my fellow membes.

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Sam
Yes I do believe we have a prophet and that is one of the questions I had before becoming a Mormon. I couldn't understand why God would give the world prophets in the Old and New Testements and leave us without prophets in our day and time. I know now that we do in fact have a prophet.
