Hi I'm Karen

I grew up in Georgia. I am a busy, working mom. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love golf. I love to play golf with my family and I also love my job as a golf tournament advisor managing golf events for non-profit organizations and corporations. I serve on the booster clubs at my kids' schools, where I am responsible for fundraising. I stay in constant motion, it seems, working, volunteering at school and church, driving kids to sports events and practices, music lessons and parties, attending business and civic meetings and spending time with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up attending a Baptist church. As a girl, I liked hanging out with friends, going on mission trips and singing in the choir, but stopped going to church after going to college and really didn't think too much would change. That one choice, led me far away from where I had been. Years later, after many trials, I heard again the story of Paul the disciple - how he had spent many years persecuting Christians for their belief that Jesus was the Messiah. Jesus knew of Paul's great value and personal worth and gave him the opportunity to change and start all over again. Paul became one of the most successful missionaries. If Paul could be forgiven, and start all over, so could I. I started attending church again and only 2 weeks later, I met the love of my life who I married 7 mo later. Little did I know at the time that this man, and his church, would change my life. He had been raised a Mormon so I decided to learn more about his religion. I began to read the Book of Mormon. I felt calm and peaceful-everything I read supported and confirmed what I already believed. It spoke of Jesus Christ and his mission and ministry to the people here on Earth. It spoke of how we can only be saved by faith in Jesus Christ. I talked to the Mormon missionaries to learn more about what they believed. They answered my questions and I knew that what I was hearing was true. I prayed to know if what I felt was real, and it is. I have never been more at peace than I am now.

How I live my faith

I read scriptures with my family and pray everyday. I serve those around me in need. I love unconditionally and do not judge others. I try to set a good example.
