Hi I'm Bill

I am a grandfather. I teach at a community college in North Carolina. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My wife and I have been married for 46 years, have a large family, including 21 grandchildren. My careers have been in heavy manufacturing, construction, and education. I like finding out about my ancestors.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because I read a copy of the Book of Mormon, another testament of Jesus Christ. My wife and I believed the truths we were taught about the Church. The doctrine is logical and feels right, too. We have found spiritual comfort and joy serving in Church, associating with Church members, and striving to live the way our Savior Jesus Christ has taught us to live.

How I live my faith

I currently serve as a Bishop in the church. A bishop is the leader of a local congregation and usually consists of about 300 to 600 members. I try to help others live a Christ like life.

What do Mormons believe about "eternal life?"

Eternal life means to be given a new and perfect body in the resurrection, and then to live forever as God lives, being filled forever with happiness and joy. Show more Show less

Are Mormons Christians?

People call members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Mormons. We are called Mormons because of the book of scriptures called the "Book of Mormon". The Book of Mormon testifies of Jesus Christ and his redeeming work for all mankind. I am a Christian because I follow the teaching of Jesus Christ - He is my savior and redeemer and all I am I owe to Him. Show more Show less
