Why I am a Mormon

Our Heavenly Father's plan is a plan of happiness. Before coming to earth we all SHOUTED FOR JOY when His plan was presented to us. All the details of this "merciful plan of the great creator" including the ordinances and doctrines have been restored in their fullness. Our creator wants us to feel true joy and overcome the trials and misery of this world. Because of His love for all of His children, he gave his only begotten son as the Savior of the World. The Spirit has burned these and many other truths into my heart.

How I live my faith

I have the opportunity to share my treasured beliefs by speaking about them in various meetings. Members of the church are uplifting and loving to one another. I visit the homes of other members of the church and pray for them. My family and I have the opportunity and blessing to serve our neighbors and friends. I have the great privilege to perform priesthood ordinances and blessings. I attend God's holy house (temple) where I learn more of His plan and will for His children. When I share my innermost beliefs, I feel only love. I don't feel animosity or that I am better than anyone else - I only feel blessed and I know that God loves all his children. I want to share the joy I feel in my heart. I devote my time and energy to teaching my children, being involved in their growth and most importantly loving them. I am in awe to be a father to my wonderful children and a husband to my lovely wife.

Why are only some Mormons allowed into temples? Is there something secret going on in Mormon Temples? What goes on in Mormon Temples?

The temple is the most sacred place on this earth. It is the Lord's house where sacred, beautiful, saving ordinances take place. Anyone wishing to learn more detail about what takes place in the temples has the opportunity to attend an "open house" when a temple is new. Before it is dedicated for use, many temples are opened to the public to learn more about the principles and ordinances and to also tour the temple. Show more Show less

Why do some call Mormonism a cult?

Because of misconceptions and misunderstandings. It's as simple as that. Show more Show less

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

This is one of the principles that I take the most comfort in knowing that I can be with my family beyond this life. No wonder we feel so much love for each other, we long to be together and we miss each other when we're apart. That love that we feel as a family is all part of the plan!   Show more Show less
