Hi I'm Dave

I'm just a regular guy, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a husband and father of three, and I'm interested in the way things flow, from packets in a network to relationships in a community.

Why I am a Mormon

Each of us has to learn truth, and what it means to us individually. Although I was raised Mormon, it wasn't enough to know the doctrine. Like every other member of this faith I had to take the steps to approach my father in heaven with faith in Jesus Christ to learn for myself what significance these teachings have in my life.

How I live my faith

There are no shortages of ways to contribute to one's church and community in a small town. I have worked and volunteered for many years with youth and families, most recently as a school youth worker and voluteer drop-in centre facilitator. Currently I chair the IT/Network Support category in the regional Skills competition, which gives youth the opportunity to learn and compete in their chosen area of trades technology. I am also a voluteer facilitator for the local Restorative Justice program, which recognizes the harm done to victims, offenders, families and communities when an offence is committed, and seeks to facilitate healing through the cooperation of all involved parties. I am involved in local church leadership, including working with the adults and youth. This past Christmas I enjoyed handling the sound and lights for the community Christmas concert.
