Hi I'm Darrell

I'm a mechanical engineer and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Besides work and music I love spending time with my nine grandchildren. I served ten years in the military--four of them in Germany. My wife and I love old movies and eating out on Friday nights.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the church in 1978 when two young missionaries knocked on our door and taught us the plan of salvation. They answered questions I had had for years, but was unable to find the answers to--like where did I come from, why am I here, and where am I going? I studied the information the missionaries gave me and I prayed about. The answer came. It was true. I have embraced the gospel of Jesus Christ ever since. It has enriched my life and the lives of my wife and children beyond comprehension. The saving ordinances of the temple and Book of Mormon have literally saved me from what might have been a life of unhappiness and despair. I love the Savior and I thank Him every day for His atoning sacrifice.

How I live my faith

I have served in the youth programs of the church for nearly 34 years and have enjoyed every minute of it. I enjoy watching them grow and learn about the gospel and the world around them. It is rewarding to be a mentor and a friend to young people.
