Hi I'm Kenney Wilkinson

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Kenney Rea. I am 62 years old as of 2017. I live in Orem, Utah. I was born in San Francisco, California. I was baptized in the Methodist church, in the Glide Memorial Chapel by Dr. John Kenney when I was one month old. My mother Peggy, was the secretary for Dr. Kenney in the church and I was named after him. We were active Methodists until the LDS missionaries contacted us in 1969. My father and I were baptized into the church April 20, 1970 and my sister and mother in November 1970. I served an LDS mission to Spain in 1974. I married Terry Lee in 1977. We have been married for 38 years. We have 7 wonderful children and at the present time- 20 grandchildren. I owned a Trophy/Sportring goods Retail business here in Orem which i have had for the last 38 plus years. I retired at the end of 2016 and sold my business to my son. My life revolves around the church and I truly enjoy living the principles of the Gospel and of being a follower and disciple of Jesus Christ. My life is very full. I am a happy man. Some of my hobbies and interests are I love to do genealogy, I have been a long distance runner and basketball player. I love to garden and work in the yard. I love taking hikes and vacations with my kids and grandkids. My wife and I love to travel and have been to many wonderful places.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Latter Day Saint, because I feel in my heart and have studied in my mind what the church teaches and I believe that my conforming to its principles and completing the attendent ordinances will make it possible ,by the grace of God, to live with my Heavenly Father and my family after this life and to have a joyous happy life now.

How I live my faith

Terry & I have received a call from our church to serve a humanitarian misson to Nepal starting May 2017, we will be there for 23 months. We believe it is our Christian duty and privilege to help those less fortunate than ourselves as we have been greatly blessed.
