Hi I'm Erik

A mission is the best. I love my family :) I'm in Florida, sometimes Georgia. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I have a great appreciation for this life. I love the Earth. It's neat. I really like those little things called pets. They're cute. They put a smile on my face :) I Love cars. Loved em since I was wee lad. They are quite the intrigue. I have a great passion for music. Music is amazing. It suppresses every feeling I have. I really enjoy music. I used to play the trombone. That was cool. I love Church :) Church hymns, the service, the spirit....it's great. I sing. I like to sing. It's fun. It relieves...things, like tension haha. I need it. It helps others feel the spirit too-bonus! I love the Book of Mormon. It feels right in my hands. I LOVE music, again. I adore my family. They are the greatest. They bring much joy into this life :) I think mormon.org is amazing. -I like the videos. Videos are great. I am a nametag wearer, and I use a pen a lot.

Why I am a Mormon

Well...the Gospel Of Jesus Christ and the Plan of Salvation make sense. My life has been changed and I see no need to leave the best thing that's ever happened to me. I believe the Book Of Mormon is true. I read it and I feel it. The uniqueness (if that's a word) that comes from the book is indescribable. You want peace? Open the book. Read it! Study it. Pray about it. It works. I believe I am here in this world, this place, at this time, that I'm this certain person, for a reason. And all that I've learned from this Church and the gospel has brought me greater peace and assurance than I could ever ask for. God wants me to know who I am. This Church and the Gospel that it's associated with have made everything make sense. There's no question in my mind of why I'm here on earth. It (the Gospel Plan) provides all the answers to life's questions and I believe to ask, "WHY wouldn't you join this church?"

How I live my faith

"Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends." John 15:13 -I talk to people everyday. Many of whom I don't know. -I study my scriptures each morning. -I ride a bike all day. Sometimes. -I wear a nametag. -I share my conviction of the truth daily. This here is the typical life of a missionary... http://mormon.org/missionary-work/#what-missionaries-do I live the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ. It's what helps me.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Erik
Well... because, what we know from Christ's restored gospel, we can be with our families forever. We believe that families are ordained of God. They have great potential. If!... They live worthily. How? Keep the Commandments. I firmly believe that a family is supposed to be a team, a unit that builds each other and edifies. I couldn't put it better than as our own Apostles have said... Are Mormons Christians?

Erik
Indeed. To be Christian...well the root word is Christ right? Well, "We talk of Christ, we rejoice in Christ, we preach of Christ, [and] we prophesy of Christ..." -2 Nephi 25:26 (The Book Of Mormon) Jesus Christ is our Savior and Reedemer so indeed we are Christians. Show more Show less

Do Mormons practice polygamy?

Erik
No we do not. Actually... - Any who practice such are not, or are no longer, associated with us. - It's totally illegal. - The prophets who had and have done it, had authority and good reason from God to do so. We no longer participate. We know marriage is ordained of God between a MAN and a WOMAN. -Notice: these are not plural. Show more Show less
