Hi I'm Matt

I'm a Mormon. I live in Utah, am married, and have three boys.

About Me

I am married to a wonderful wife and have three young boys. I work as a therapist for teenagers and very much enjoy it. I love nature, sports, mountain biking, and visiting different places.

Why I am a Mormon

The gospel of Jesus Christ means everything to me. It gives meaning and depth to my life. I know the teachings and principles of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Saints are true and will lead us back to our Heavenly Father. The gospel brings me peace and comfort. It helps me know where I lived before I cam to earth, why I'm here, and where I am going after I die. I love knowing that I am sealed to my family for all eternity because my wife and I were sealed in a temple. I feel so blessed to be a Mormon and to know that the church is true.

How I live my faith

I love the church. I get to go to church each Sunday with my family. We learn about the gospel of Jesus Christ and how to live it more fully. We rub shoulders with other members of the church and try to help each other and serve each other. I feel supported and cared about. I serve as a primary teacher which means I get to teach young children the teachings of Jesus. I love children and love this calling in the church. I hold the priesthood and get to go home teaching to two families. This is a wonderful chance to serve others and care about them. I also love to attend the temple and perform saving ordinances for those who have passed on. I love the wonderful feelings associated with all of these activities. I truly love the church and what it means to me.

Why do you have 12 Apostles? They were just meant to be around for the time of Jesus Christ, not to be replaced with new apostles.

We have a prophet and 12 apostles to lead us and guide us. We have the same church of Jesus Christ that He established on the earth. We have the same foundation of prophets and apostles and also the same principles like faith, repentance, baptism, and the gift of the Holy Ghost. A living prophet is truly a wonderful gift and blessing. He is God's mouthpiece here on earth and teaches us frequently how we need to live and what we should be doing. I know that we do have a living prophet on the earth today. What a great blessing this is. Show more Show less
