Hi I'm Glenn

I am a grandfather who owns a small successful business and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

As I stated above, I am a grandfather and love everything about it. I run my own business and play golf as a hobby.....but my greatest love is for my family. I have a deep patriotic love for my country as well. I have always loved the outdoors. Camping, hiking & fishing are good memories through the years. I believe that is why I like to golf. The scenery is sometimes breathtaking!

Why I am a Mormon

Because it is true. I am a fifth generation Mormon but in my early adulthood I had to come to the knowledge that it is truely the gospel of Jesus Christ. I grew up in the church and felt good and proud of the principles it taught, but, like all people, I had to be converted by the Spirit. So, like Joseph Smith and millions of others since his time, I sincerely prayed and received my answer. This is His, Jesus Christ's gospel. The principles and truths taught in this church will only bring you closer to God, help your family love more tenderly, make you a better neighbor and friend and take you to that ultimate goal of being with our Savior and our Heavenly Father. My testimony of this devine restoration is firm and true.

How I live my faith

I have served in many capacities in the church throughtout my life. I have been a Scout Master, a youth leader, Sunday School teacher, served in the Bishopric, served on the High Council, taught the little children and I am a constant Home Teacher assigned to vist certain families in my Ward each month to tend to thier needs. Why have I done all these things? Because this is what the Lord teaches us to do....to care more for others than we do ourselves. To sacrifice our time willingly with no thought of praise or pay for the building up of the Kingdom of God. I also visit a certain senior citizen facility by their invitation about 4 times a year and sing some good old "golden oldies" for the folks there. It's not that I think I am a great entertainer. I do it because I know they enjoy it and it gives me joy just to see them smile. For about an hour I get to bring some happiness to them. It's a great feeling! If I live to a normal old age I have a bit more years left that I will continue to serve wherever I am asked to serve. True joy and happiness comes from serving others and living by the principles of the gospel. I shall do so until I leave this life behind and am safely laid to rest.

Are Mormons Christians?

Glenn
Yes! I am always stunned and saddened by this question. We believe in God the Eternal Father and in His Son Jesus Christ and in the Holy Ghost. That statement says it all. As Christians, we believe in Christ, we teach of Christ, we testify of Christ and we love and worship our Lord, our Savior, Jesus Christ. Now, isn't that the definition of a Christian? A believer in and follower of Jesus Christ. Show more Show less
