Hi I'm Connie

I grew up in New York. I teach high school math and science. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

When I married, I began a long-awaited journey. Now I have 6 grown children, and 3 grandsons. I work as an online high school teacher so I get to travel to visit my family quite often. I volunteer as a child advocate in the court system to protect children who have been abused or neglected.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was 16, in the late 60s, I became friends with some teenagers who all seemed to be happy and confident, but didn't seem to follow the most popular fads in the "free-love" society that surrounded us. Eventually I learned that they were Mormons-- but I didn't know what that meant. They were happy to answer my questions and invited me to attend Church with them. I listened and read all I could and seemed to find exactly what I had been searching for. I met with some missionaries and immediately felt confident that what I was learning about the who I was, why I was here and what my purpose was became clear. It just made sense. I prayed hard to be sure that what I was doing was right, and felt the love of my Heavenly Father sustain my decision to be baptized.

How I live my faith

Since I was a young adult, I've loved working with children. I believe that children deserve respect and reverence and I try to remember that as I teach them in our Church's organization for children. Teaching children helps me stay focused on the plain and simple truths of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

What is the Law of Chastity?

Connie
The law of chastity tells us that we should respect our bodies and our sexuality. Our bodies are a sacred gift and defiling them through immodesty in dress or behavior does not show the reverence that they deserve. The law of chastity requires that we refrain from any sexual activity with anyone other than our spouses. That relationship is sanctified and reserved for our most intimate behavior.
