Hi I'm Sarah

I'm a stay at home mother of two, I love crafts and quilting, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm married to a wonderful man and we have two great children, one boy and one girl. I volunteer with both my kids Scouts and with their sports and other various activities. My kids are e-schools, so I'm home all day with them. I have an Associates Degree in Paralegal and have started taking classes toward a Bachelors Degree in Applied Psychology. I love to read, especially fantasy fiction novels (vampires are my favorite subject). I also love to do craft projects like quilting, scrap booking, candle decorating, and etc. I try to keep my house clean and organized, but with two kids running around, they keep me pretty busy and the house pretty messy.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was 10 years old, Sister Missionaries came to our family's door and introduced us to the Church. I was receptive to learning about the Church with my family. I was baptized. I took a while to do a lot of reading and searching a learning and gaining/strengthening my testimony when I was a young adult and I learned a lot about the Church and it's history and doctrines. I met my husband in the Church and our family is active in Church. We are raising our children with the standards and morals that the Church endorses. In learning about the history of the Church and its leaders, I've come to really respect the sacrifices that the first members of the Church experienced. When I've visited the Church History sites (I've been to the ones in Ohio and NY), I can feel the Holy Spirit and feel that my beliefs are being reaffirmed. I know this Church is true. I know that Jesus Christ is our Savior. I know that President Thomas S. Monson is the current Prophet of the Lord here on Earth today. I know the the past Prophets have faithfully, truthfully, and honorably served Heavenly Father. I know that the Book of Mormon is an honest Testament of Jesus Christ and his ministry on Earth. I know that while the people in the Church may not be perfect, that the doctrines of the Church are correct and true.

How I live my faith

Previously I've taught the 8 to 11 year old girls in an activities group. I've taught the 12 and 13 year old Sunday School class, twice. I've taught a lesson once a month for the 18 and older women in Church. I've also been the secretary for the 12 to 18 year old teenage girls group. I was just teaching the 9 year old Sunday School class. Currently I teach the 8 year old Sunday School class. I try to be the best person I can and do the things that I'm supposed to do and live my life as right as I can.

What do Mormons believe about the Bible? Do they regard it as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

"Mormons" believe that the Bible is one compilation of books written about Jesus the Christ and his teachings. The Bible is Holy Scripture and word of God written by prophets, just as the Book of Mormon is another compilation of books that serve as a testament of Jesus the Christ written by prophets who lived here in the Americas. We also believe that The Doctrine and Covenants and Pearl of Great Price are revelations as well. Show more Show less
