Hi I'm Joey

Hi, I'm a dirtbiker, a student, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Joey and I returned from the Arizona Tucson Mission in January 2010. Im 22 years old and just trying to get through life. The gospel has been a light in my life and has helped me get through some tight spots in life. Though most of my friends arent members of the church they know that I have made certain choices in my life that they dont exactly get but respect me for. I love that when I follow Christ I am blessed for it instead of just trying to "fit in". Im in college right now studying either engineering or medicine Im not quite sure yet and looking to transfer in about a year. I love playing the guitar and riding my dirtbike. I love getting out to play any kind of sport and always stay active.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church from birth. Most, in fact about 90% of my friends aren't members of the church and Im glad to have the gospel in my life to see the different choices I have made instead of just doing what everyone else is doing. Im a Mormon because this gospel makes sense and its a light in my life and it gives me hope to know that if I do whats right in this life Ill be able to return to live with God again.

How I live my faith

Well Im the ward mission leader, gospel principles teacher, piano player and a home teacher in my ward. I also do my best to serve God and my fellow man and doing what He requires of me. I also try to follow the example of Jesus Christ and live like He did and still does. It is difficult sometimes in life striving to be perfect. It seems an impossible task but I want it so bad and I hate the feeling that I get when I am disobedient. Every time that I make a mistake I turn right away back to the Gospel and I hope that God knows how I feel. When I'm around others I do my best to live by gospel standards and I feel like I do. So many ask me why I live the way I do and I'm happy to know that I am able to live a higher law. Whether in work or at school or anywhere else I above all try to be an example. Im just a single person; not famous or trying to carry any influence but I hope that I can make a difference in someone else's life. I know that in order to do that though I have to live righteously in order to do so.
