About Me

My birth name is Tino Mace Tuaila. My name for the next 2 years will be Elder Tuaila. I am currently serving in the New Jersey Morristown Mission. I love Ramen Noodles.. with eggs. I was born in Southern California of goodly parents. I'm really not good at remembering things. I love having a good time with friends and family. I have a birthmark on my right heel. I love the Book of Mormon. I have alot of gray hair. I have the best nieces in the world. I hate corn with a passion. My happiness comes from keeping the commandments and staying obedient to God. My favorite animals are Orcas (free willy). I want to help others feel happiness and joy that comes from the restored gospel. Sometimes I'm really outgoing, but then sometimes shy at the same time. That doesn't make sense, but it does to me. I love smiling. Im a Latter Day Saint

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church. It was always in my life, so I really didn't know life without it. I said that it was true, I performed my duties like I was supposed to, I went to church every sunday, I pretty much went through all the motions. I didn't gain a testimony of my own. It was just apart of my life. But a blessing I recieved was the oppurtunity to serve a mission. I accepted the call to go forth and share the gospel, but shortly realized I was handing out a product that I never truly experimented on. So I tryed it. I read the Book of Mormon and prayed every time I finished an hour of study. I prayed to know if this church was REALLY true. It was half-way through the book that I realized the book was true. But I could not put it down. For my whole hour of personal study, I read the book. When I finally got through the book in 3 months, I prayed to know if it was true. I recieved my answer. I didnt even know if God answers prayers in the first place! but I recieved my answer. It was a peace that was undescribable, So I won't describe it. But I know that this is true. God told me so. Nowadays.. I stay faithful because I know that the Lord is pleased when I do what he asks and commands. I love the gospel. It really blesses my life, and my families lives. I feel his love alot in my life. There were alot of instances when he has helped me know he is there.. and my conversion has been gradual. But truly I have been converted to the Gospel of Jesus Christ :) I thank my parents for raising me in the church. My pops is a convert to the church, and I hope that he can see how his decision to be baptized, has influenced my life tremendously. He's my rold model. Moms is the rock of the home. Always steadfast and immovable. Her faith is so amazing, and she loves me too much. I love them both.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to remember the Savior always. To do what he would do when I face and make decisions in life. Alot of repenting. I mean, I'm not trying to make myself seem like the most terrible guy evers, but by constantly changing and becoming like Christ is how I live the faith. I'm probably the farthest from perfect as well.. Reading the scriptures really helps me alot with my weaknesses, as well as directs me. I love studying the scriptures, which is ironic because I NEVER studied for school work, or for anything really. crazy. There are a bunch of ways, I love sharing the gospel though. Probably my favorite.

How can we come to know our Father in Heaven?

The same way you can know anyone else. Talk to him! If you don't know anything about him, you can read his words and hear of his works manifest in scriptures. Or you can test him and do what he says and see if he doesn't bless you. Either way works... I would just encourage others to know him and grow as close with him as you can. Show more Show less
