Hi I'm Jacob

I'm the youngest of 8 children, I love sports and making movies, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have 2 brothers and 5 sisters, who all share my enthusiasm for sports. I am currently serving a mission in the New York Utica Mission, and loving it despite the snot-freezingly cold winters. I'm not sure where life will take me, but for now Plan A is to become a film director. Plan B is to be a professional pianist, which is why I want Plan A to work because I don't know how to play the piano. Other than that I love spending time with my family and watching football.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon for several reasons. It starts with being raised in the religion however, I am very grateful for the many individuals in my life who encouraged me not to rely on the belief of others, but to sincerely seek out for myself the truth. And I can honestly say that I am a mormon because my faith in Jesus Christ has lead me to it, and I know that this is where God wants me to be.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by excercising my faith. Right now I am serving a full time mission. Before this it was by going to church and reading from the scriptures.

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

Jacob
When Mormons use the word "testimony" they are simply referring to a belief that they have which is generally backed by an experience in their life that gave them that conviction. Most of the time it occurs when an individual receives an answer from God through prayer. Show more Show less
