Hi I'm Jordan

and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a student

Why I am a Mormon

You might say that there are different reasons that I'm a Mormon. I was baptized when I was eight years old, like most children who are born in the church. You might think this is a young age, but it was something that I wanted. As I grew older I learned and studied my religion more. I wanted to find out for myself that everything I was taught since childhood was true.Through the study of the Book of Mormon and the Bible, and through prayer, I have received an answer from God, through the Holy Ghost, that it is all true. Living the teachings of Christ that are found in this church makes me so happy. I cannot explain how happy I am! And I know that God loves me.

How I live my faith

I look for opportunities to serve the people around me everyday. As Christ taught, ". . . Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself," (Luke 10:27) I strive to continuously love God and to love my neighbor.

What is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' attitude regarding homosexuality and same sex marriage?

Same Gender attraction is a very real and a very deep emotion. However, being tempted does not justify self-gratification, having a sense of pleasure is not true happiness. I don't know why everything happens, I don't know why God allows men and women to feel attracted to one of their same gender, but I do know that He loves all of His Children, which is everyone on the earth. I also know, that through faith in Jesus Christ, we can overcome all things; including Same-Gender attractions. Show more Show less

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Read the Book of Mormon and pray to know if it is true. The only sure way to know if something is true is to test it out. . . to experiment. Learn what we believe and then take it to God. He'll let you know that it is true. Show more Show less

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

In James 2:17-18, we are taught about faith. "Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works." To increase our faith, we have to be willing to show God that we will follow him, even when it seems inconvenient. The more we exercise the faith that we do have, it will naturally increase. Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

No! We worship God the Father, and his son Jesus Christ. God has called prophets to lead and guide his children in today's world; just as he has in the Bible. We follow and listen to the prophet as God's mouth-piece. We believe in revelation today, and are grateful that Joseph Smith was worthy enough to be called of God. Show more Show less
