Hi I'm David

I enjoy being outdoors, listening to classical music, and trying all other good things under the sun. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I have a wonderful family of five. I have one brother and one sister. I was born and raised in Southern California. During my fourth and ninth grade years my family lived in Virginia. Today I remember few things from my early childhood. Among those memories I remember long road trips to visit family. I remember going camping with my family and some how always managing to play in the fire. Most times I remember getting some kind of small burn and never admitting it. Or Setting something on fire that I should not have. I remember the family pet was always my best friend and played a character in my childhood fantasies. That is until my brother came along. Though the dog was never replaced. To this day my family still have dogs. I still have the same number of siblings and two wonderful parents. We still have family outings, camp outs and love to go places and do things. I enjoy doing almost anything from rock hounding, shark tooth hunting, seeing historical sites to mountain biking, hiking, climbing, and camping. I like learning about new gadgets and technology. I love playing my viola and messing around with other stringed instruments. I love trying new things, and I love being around family when occasion permits.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the faith. I choose to be baptized and became a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, at the age of eight. My decision to be baptized came not from being a follower from birth. Rather from the blessings that where evident in my life. Having Parents that taught me, helped me to see that the principles taught by Jesus Christ; allowed me to see God's hand in my life. This pattern of taking the things that I have been taught, living them, and seeing the outcome. Has taught me that there is a God that knows me. It has taught me that He loves me very much and wants whats best for me. God as a heavenly father will do every thing that He can for me. All that He asks is that I show my love for Him by following Jesus Christ, the perfect example. As I come closer in harmony with the teaching's or gospel of Jesus Christ, I find that I am happier, freer, and I love being a “Mormon”.

How I live my faith

When I think of living my faith, my mind immediately jumps to going to church, saying my prayers, reading the scriptures, and doing what Jesus would do. When in all reality living my faith is so much more. I find that when I am truly living my faith it effects every aspect of my life, it changes the way that I think and reason, it helps me to look forward having hope for the future. In trying to live my faith I follow the things that I already know. Starting with going to church where I learn more about what God wants for me. Then I pray about things that I have questions about, including the things that I am told in church. As I study the scriptures and have the feelings that confirm truths to me. I do my best to apply what I have learned. So really living my faith starts with those basic answers. Today I am living my faith by sharing those things that I have learned with others. I am trying to do the things that Jesus would do.
