Hi I'm Audrea

I'm a 24. I'm indecisive. I'm a family girl, a movie junkie, a closet singer, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 24 years old. I love to sing, but mostly when I'm alone.. I love to spend time with my family. My favorite thing ever is probably sitting around the dinner table with my family for hours after dinner is done and just talking and laughing about anything and everything! I love to be with my friends. I'm pretty laid back. I love movies. I absolutely love to read. I could spend all my life at the beach and be perfectly happy. I don't really like sports. I am completely uncoordinated and to tell you the truth, I'm ok with that. I love to read. I love to talk. I tend to tell completely random stories as soon as they pop into my mind, whether or not they fit into the conversation. I'm completely indecisive, especially when it comes to school. I received my AA in 2010 in General Studies and now I'm just trying to figure out what I want to go back to school to major in. I'm a daughter. I'm a sister. I'm a klutz who likes to sing and read and watch movies...and, I'm a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family where I was raised in the church. My parents taught me well about our Savior Jesus Christ and the plan that our Heavenly Father has for us in this life, but despite being raised in the church there came a point where I had to decide for myself if this church is true. I don't think I can pinpoint the moment that I really knew this church was true, but I can say that it was after I saw for myself the power of the sacrifice Jesus Christ made in the Garden of Gethsemane and on the cross at Calvary. I have made mistakes in my life. I've made choices that I wish I hadn't made, but it was through those bad choices that I learned the power of repentance. I learned what it means to be forgiven: to have the guilt and pain of sin washed away from my life by the healing power of my Savior. I know that my have faith in Jesus Christ led me to repent, or rather, to change and become more like Jesus Christ. I know that repentance changed my life. I know that Jesus Christ my Savior and for that I am so grateful.

How I live my faith

I live my faith every day by trying to be an example of Jesus Christ. I have previously served as the secretary of the woman's organization in our area. In this assignment, I was blessed to work closely with other women in the church and help organize activities that helped us to become more unified in Christ. I have also had the opportunity to help teach the young children in Sunday school.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Joseph Smith was a prophet called of God, but we do not worship him. Under the Lord's direction he translated the Book of Mormon and reorganized the Lord's church on the earth. While he was a living prophet, he was still a man. Show more Show less

What is the Word of Wisdom that Mormons talk about?

The Word of Wisdom is a health code, given to us through a modern prophet, that helps us to take care of our bodies. It contains commandments about how we should take care of our bodies. Most often you hear that Mormons don't drink coffee, tea, and alcohol and don't smoke or do drugs. These things are contained in the Word of Wisdom, but it really is more than that. It tells us things that we should and should not put into our bodies. It also encourages us to take care of our bodies by exercising and getting enough sleep. Show more Show less

Are Mormons Christians?

Absolutely! The full name of our church is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. We believe that Jesus Christ is our Savior and Redeemer and that he took upon himself the sins of mankind. We follow the teachings and example of Christ and try to live our lives like he did. Show more Show less
