Hi I'm Kaden

I grew up in Hawaii, I'm a full-time missionary in North Carolina, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm 21. My family and i were baptized in 2007. I'm currently serving a full-time mission. I grew up in Hawaii. I live for quality time with my family and friends, and the beautiful sight of grass and dirt stains on a baseball uniform.

Why I am a Mormon

Prior to joining The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, my family and i never attended a church but knew there was more to life then what we could see. After living in Utah for a number of years, the "Mormons" were unsuccessful at getting us to church or being able to teach our family. i guess you could say we weren't "open" to hearing the message of the restored gospel. A few years in returning back home to Hawaii they found us. At this point we were humbled by some life changing experiences. Death, health problems, financial struggles, and every other little thing that made us question life and our purpose here. After a few answered prayers, the missionaries came knocking on our door AGAIN. a few weeks later 6 of the 7 of us were baptized younger brother not of age. Today we're all active and enjoy learning more of the truth that has been restored. There is nothing more fulfilling in life than standing as a witness of God and His truth. Since I've been out on my mission I have been able to see Heavenly Father's plan for us come to life. Everyone who is seeking religious truth and unanswered questions to life can and will find it with the Book of Mormon and sincere prayer. Its amazing to see those we teach transform their lives based off of Faith in the Lord and committing to live according to His law. To have a living prophet to guide and direct us today is a great blessing and evidence that God loves us. I know our prophet today is a man of God and will continue to guide us in the right direction until the Lord comes.

How I live my faith

I'm currently serving a full-time mission. Before my mission i was called to represent the young adults in my ward. Along with the other rep. we tried to visit every young adult that was not coming to church on a regular basis. At first it was hard to visit anyone because we didnt know who they were. But because we knew that they are Heavenly Fathers children we knew where they needed to be. With love we invited them back. Within a few months the young adults attendance in church grew. Now that i'm on my mission i've found that everyone is looking for something more to life. The Gospel of Jesus Christ WILL provide the answers they're looking for. I live my faith by sharing the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Kaden
there are three simple things that we can do to KNOW if "Mormonism" is true or not. the first is to READ the Book of Mormon. what better way to know about something than getting it right from the source? second is to PONDER/ APPLY the things that you have read. it feels a little more personal to ourselves as we're able to relate to what we're reading. third is to PRAY. this is the part where we get to exercise our faith in the Lord. as we sincerely ask Father in heaven if what we read is true, HE WILL testify in our hearts that it is through the Holy Ghost. when we come to know these things are true and feel the Holy Ghost telling you that it is, then YOU will know with surety that it came from God.
