Hi I'm Blaine

I'm a husband. I'm a father. I'm an educator. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love spending time with my family. I have five boys and a wonderful wife. I love to teach and have been lucky enough to be a teacher or school administrator for 17 years. I am currently a high school principal. I love my school and the kids that go there. If I could do anything on a given day, I'd spend it in a boat on the lake with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe the Church of Jesus Christ is the Lord's real church. I grew up in a strong Mormon family, but as I became an adult I decided I needed to decide for myself whether I truly believed to the extent that I would sacrifice for my convictions. What I found is that when I live according to the teachings of Christ, I find peace and happiness in my life. The church and its fellow members helps me to live the way I want. Through the authority found in the church, I can make covenants or promises with God that help me be a better person. My family is the most important thing in my life and God helps me to be a better husband and father when I follow His way of life.

How I live my faith

I am very blessed to be able to serve many people through my church. I help manage and direct my local congregation and help others who are struggling with tragedy or problems. In my profession, I am a high school principal. The ethic of service and compassion that I was raised with has been a great blessing as I interact with my students each day.  I try to do the best I can for my students because I believe they are all children of God who have limitless potential.

What is being a Mormon like?

Being a member of the church is great!! I find it like being part of a big family. Just like with any family, you get to know each other really well, both good and bad. However, when life gets tough, my experience has always been that fellow members of the church are always amazing in how they help support and comfort each other. i find a lot of comfort just knowing my church brothers and sisters are there for me.
