Hi I'm Katrina

I am a wife, a Mom, a friend. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am blessed to be a wife to a wonderful, dedicated, and loving husband. I am also blessed to be a Mom and am grateful I have the opportunity to be home with my children every day. I enjoy being with my family -whether we are playing, doing crafts or simply cuddling while we read a book or watch a movie. I dabbled in many different areas trying to further develop (and discover) my talents including learn quilting, sewing, crocheting, decorating cakes, and canning. I also enjoy taking photographs, baking, camping, sign language. I am grateful for music; I am humbled how the simple act of singing primary songs or a church hymn can quickly bring calm and peace to our crazy home (even calms squabbles while we are in the van!)

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have come to know for myself, without a doubt in my heart or mind that I have had my prayers answered. Through reading the scriptures, attending church, and through sincere prayer, I have gained a strong testimony of my Father in Heaven, and of my Savior: Jesus Christ. I am a Mormon because my Mom showed great faith. She led the way for my family and because of her strength and example I have been greatly blessed and have had the opportunity to attend and even marry within the sacred walls of the temple. I am a Mormon because I am happiest when I am doing my best to follow The Savior's example. I am grateful to know my Savior is there, always by my side helping me every step of the way; and with his help, I will never stray. I often find myself humming the song (from the Children's Song Book) "Search, Ponder, and Pray": "I love to read the holy scriptures, and every time I do, I feel the Spirit start to grow within my heart - a testimony that they're true...search, ponder and pray, are the things that I must do. The Spirit will guide, and, deep inside, I'll know the scriptures are true"

How I live my faith

On Sundays, I teach a class of children who are four years old. It never ceases to amaze me how The Lord can touch our hearts as we strive to share our testimonies of Him and of His gospel at very basic levels. I try to live my faith in ways that would be pleasing to my Father in Heaven but also make my wonderful father, here on Earth (who is not a member) proud of me. To be the sort of person I want my children to be. I am striving to live my life and faith - with humility, gratitude, and joy, with strength, and trust, found in the Doctrine of this great gospel and found through humble and sincere prayer and seeking - to be the kind and generous daughter I feel my Mom and Dad and my Heavenly parents would want me to be.
